Grendahl Design just came onto the digital world, but we’ve been working hard and behind the scenes for a couple of years. Our story started with building our current house we are living in 3 1/2 years ago. My husband wanted to move, and I was content in our house. I always joke and say I told him no up until the day we were signing papers on the lot. BUT that’s another story. Building that house really jump started this business.

The Outland Road house was our first build to sell project. We were so grateful for this project.  It went so smooth, and sold in TWO weeks!

The fireplace wall is one of my favorite features of this house.  I had bought a mosaic stone tile to use originally, and it was causing a lot of problems before it was even being installed.  We had some subway tile lying around and thought, how about subway tile?!???!!  I wasn’t completely sold on it until I put it vertical. I wanted it to be different from the kitchen backsplash. I couldn’t be happier than the end result.  This is a one of a kind fireplace wall.

The custom tiled shower was my next favorite project.  I wanted a feature wall, and by placing the tile in a straight herringbone pattern, it gave the shower the wow factor I was looking for.

I think everyone’s favorite part about this house is the exterior.  The dark grey siding looks blue at times and the light classic brick gives it such great contrast.  I am always a fan of white trim around windows and doors. It makes the whole house pop, and gives it a great craftsman look.

There are so many great features to this house. This is an open concept floor plan with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The basement is a walk out and was set up for 2 more bedrooms.  I love coming up with floor plans and imagining how a family would use the space.  I do all of this on my program, Chief Architect. I love having the freedom of making a change if needed.

I hope you enjoyed this home tour!
